Stargaze
Gallery invites you to embark on a celestial journey with Illustration – Stargaze, a mesmerizing exhibition showcasing the cosmic-inspired works of three visionary illustrators: Peter Lee, Charlotte Harris, and Danis Clark. Running from August 7th to August 9th, 2024, at 577 King St, Jacksonville, FL 32204, this exhibition blends fantasy, astronomy, and storytelling into a dreamlike exploration of the universe.
A Cosmic Canvas of Imagination
Stargaze transports viewers beyond the earthly realm into a world where stars whisper secrets and galaxies bloom with color. Through intricate linework, vibrant palettes, and surreal compositions, the featured artists reimagine the cosmos—not just as distant lights, but as living, breathing realms of wonder.
Artists & Their Constellations
Each illustrator brings a unique interpretation of the celestial theme:
- Peter Lee merges traditional ink techniques with futuristic visions, creating ethereal starscapes that feel both ancient and alien.
- Charlotte Harris’s whimsical style transforms constellations into mythic characters, weaving folklore into the fabric of space.
- Danis Clark employs bold, graphic designs to explore the tension between cosmic vastness and human intimacy.
Together, their works invite contemplation—of our place in the universe, the stories we project onto the night sky, and the infinite possibilities of artistic expression.
Between Science and Myth
Much like Photography – Unobserved World revealed hidden layers of reality, Stargaze illuminates the intersection of science and fantasy. Where telescopes show us cold celestial bodies, these illustrators ignite them with life, emotion, and narrative—proving that the universe is not just observed, but felt.
